Mathisis.org:

As a group we have been working together since 2006, first under the Apoplous.org organisation but also as an individual team of teachers (Mathisis.org). Dr Antonis Skellas, Avraam Triantafillides, A nna Krassa and Dr Alexandros Kofteros (the 4 ‘A’) formed the first group, with other members joining later, including esteemed educators Dr Anastasios Kollias, Greta Leventi  and Matina Marathefti.

Our vision:

Our vision is to promote the use of technology in education as tool with significant added value. By empowering children today, we encourage them to become active and critical thinking citizens of tomorrow.

In order to achieve our vision, we have been working together since 2006, presenting our vision in various conferences in Greece and Cyprus, building strong ties within the academic and educational community.

Heron, Digital Eduction & Mathisis LTD

In 2018, Christiana Kofterou, the designer of the Mathisis.org logo and websites, and also the developer of the “Lychnia” VLE (as part of her MA degree) founded “Heron, Digital Education and Mathisis LTD” as a non-proft organisation. Christiana Kofterou is the Director of the organisation, with the members of the original Mathisis.org team acting as independent researchers. As an organisation, “Heron” participates in research projects and content development.

Our role during the pandemic

Mathisis.org has organised and delivered more than 18 webinars on distance learning, involving in total more than 2000 teachers and parents, between March 2020 and January 2021, in collaboration with other organisations.
